Meet Mika

Mika Fukuyoshi founded Reiki Murasaki with a passion for providing a holistic and spiritual healing experience. With mind, body, and spirit as a whole, Mika believes that the universal lifeforce, Reiki, to be the natural and essential treatment method to support our innate healing power and well-being.

Mika was born and raised in Japan and had a wide range of careers, from finance to design, before finding her calling in the healing profession. Her life experience with multiple traumas paved the way for her awakening, and she has been working as a Reiki practitioner and a psychotherapist to help alleviate people’s suffering and promote the well-being we all deserve.

Mika received Reiki training both in Japan and the US; trained in Jikiden Reiki (meaning “Usui-shiki Ryoho (Reiki) directly passed on” in Japanese) by Grand Reiki Master Tadao Yamaguchi in the birthplace of Reiki, Kyoto, Japan, and Usui-shiki Ryoho with Western adaptation by a Reiki Master, Brian Brunius in New York. With her unique multicultural perspective and universal approach to Reiki, you will experience transformative healing energy and deep relaxation.

Murasaki 紫 means the color purple in Japanese. Murasaki (purple) represents higher spiritual development, wisdom, harmony, and healing to name a few. The crown chakra, the highest spiritual chakra of all, is associated with the color purple.
